I just sorted 4000 bullets (30, 6mm, 6.5) with my shiny new tool from Bill Shehane. LOVE IT :D. EXPENSIVE:eek: I was also thinking of buying one of those new bullet pointing dies. Maybe buy a machine and start to anneal brass.

I enjoy doing these things. But the cost of all my new toys is brutal.

Would there be a market in this sport doing custom work for other shooters. Would any of you "ANAL RETENTIVES" trust someone else to sort your bullets, point your bullets, anneal your brass, ect.... I have no Idea what to charge....it takes me close to three hours to open all of the boxes, set up the tool, sort and seperate in .001" groups, re-box/bag, lable everything, and tear down. My thoughts would be $30-40 per thousand. ?????....

Offer sorting by bearing serface (.001),
Offer bullet pointing.
Offer annealing of brass
Or a combination of above.

Again, just thinking out loud. Trying to figure a way to recoupe some of my expenses.

Am I totaly insane??;)

What are your thoughts.

Tod,

Aren't your toys a business expense?

Sell another car, recoup your investment, and skip the extra work.:D

Or holler for a bailout........

Glad I could help,

Al

Buisness expence?.?.?.?.? Not untill I start selling you guys cars and trucks!!;)

Bailout....Haven't you guys herd.....Ford don't need no stinkin bailout.....besides...If the OBAMANATOR thinks he can run GM and Chrysler, he shur-n-L would try the same with the prized blue oval....That (among other things) would cause me to want to choke him untill HE looks like a blue oval!!

BUT I DIGRESS.:D

I am assuming that the match on the 18th is still a go.

It might work better if you sorted them for a wider bunch of operations than just bearing surface.I can see a Juenke machine in your future

If you can get one for $600 you better jump on it.Last time I talked with Vern he wanted $1265 shipped.
If you want to make it a business the equipment costs get spread out over time so don't worry about the initial outlay.Give the people what they want and it will work.
