I shoot at five clubs during the summer season in western North Carolina and surrounding area..From personal observations there was a definite decrease in the number of shooters from 2008 to 2010. However it was encouraging to see new shooters at all of the matches this year.I don't have the attendance figures from prior years but following are the average attendance numbers for 2011 from the area clubs I shoot at.The figures do not include
state and regional matches.I hope other areas of the country are seeing the same increase.
Alleghany - 18
Blue Ridge - 24
Bullseye - 13
Ridge Rifle - 12
Unaka - 24
 
That sounds like good news Ernie.
North East is still declining.
Missed seeing you this year, Hopefully soon.
