Tim,

Congrats on your 2500 for that's a tough target and the picture Dawn posted showed you were definitely on your game.

So tell us a little about the rifle for I for one find it interesting what little we know. You mentioned that you purchased it there at the match. Was it something prearranged or did you see it for sale at the match and make the purchase? What ammo were you feeding it? Any details are greatly appreciated.

Again congratulations on your accomplishment for you'll go down in history as the first 2500!

Dustin and Rodney Allen owned the gun and asked Dan to list it on the website to sell. Dan had them get the gun to Darrel Barnes to bring to him at Piney Hill. He told them he would post it on the website if it didn't sell at the shoot. Darrel brought it and Dan put it in the for sale section. It had a weaver scope on it that only had horizontal cross hair with a dot! It had no vertical cross hair! We are not sure how that happened...but that is how the scope was. Tim shot it with the faulty scope and luckily it held up. The gun is a 40X with a Shilen barrel and a fiberglass stock smithed by Gene Davis. He was shooting Eley team that he already had with him. He shot the gun on Friday prior to purchasing it. Then he decided to go ahead and shoot it at the match. It was a great purchase for him. I hope he continues to do well with it.

it was dumb luck

the gun was one dan killough brought up from a neighbor to sell i seen it liked it and dan allowed me to shoot it it liked the ammo i was feeding it so i bought it only prob was the scope had only one crosshair but heck it was shooting true so i used it that way
the ammo i used was eley team
i do know this dan wont be selling any more of his freinds guns without some test firing of his own

Yet to try

Tim:
We have yet to try the PSL target, but will try one at out first shoot of the year at Dietzville. This is one of the clubs that Dan shoot at on a regular basis. He's won both tournaments held at that range last year, and I think he won both club titles. He's tough but we let him shoot anyway. Dawn will shoot with us some, and then we all are shooting for third. Congradulation on you 2500, and I know for a fact, you got a great buy. I've seen that gun shoot in the past. When you get a chance, come shoot with us. Duel tournaments in May.

Nice effort, especially given the fact that you did'nt exactly have lots of prep time. You gotta get up to the Syracuse area for at least a couple IR50 matches. Hopefully all these guys that always post you never can get a good piece of equipment that is used, in good condition, at a fair price, will sit up and take notice.

Congratulations Tim on your 2500. It certainly puts some humor into the story that you had to shoot it with only one crosshair.

A Big Congratulations Buddy!!!

Tim,
I was watching you shoot your" 2500-17X "target thru my spotting scope and I was as excited as you !!!! It was a day I will never forget. I have allways
said that If one the guys from our shooting group has an ON day that this
was possible and Tim this was your ON day and it is now a piece of history!!! It was a pleasure for me to be there ,I am so proud of you,
Great Shooting!!!

"It had a weaver scope on it that only had horizontal cross hair with a dot! It had no vertical cross hair!"

Watch now half the scopes at the next match are only going to have the horizontal line with a dot :D. Heck, if you thank about it if there's only just the dot and it holds POI then it would work. But I guess the lines do help when your holding off for the wind.

I think you got yourself a good buy there Tim, but now we want to see a picture of the Famous 2500 rifle :)

Les
