Indoor Nationals The Rest of The Story

The two shot issue has been beaten to death. So moving along here's my impression of what happened at the nationals:

-Dawn whipped Danny;Jessica whipped James; and Noah whipped Grandpa
That covers family current events.
-Unfortunately Bill Myers has come down with a slight case of altimers. But, he redeemed himself when he introduced me to Tony Blosser who kinkly sold me his extra Myers cleaning rod.
-After three days of tunning Joe "Red Shoes" became Joe "Red Face" and not withstanding left with a smile on his face.(not to worry he hasn't lost it)
-Bob Collins set out on his for sale table a "Killer" case of 1047 speed ammo. I immediately took the bait, hook line and sinker only to discover it was the correct box; but the 4x4 wood blocks in the case didn't shoot worth a darn.
-Elizabeth's car will hold enougn pizza, subs and chicken to feed a barnful
-If you have a problem with equipment every Gunsmith will help you and every competitor will offer to loan whatever you need to finish the shoot
-Jeff has created the Greatest indoor shooting facility in the Country!!
It has 21 benches, 2 huge wood burning stoves, enough tables for well over 100 shooters, kitchen facilities and sleeping quarters for Doug Weeter so he may look out for the shooters equipment and stoke the fires.(thanks Doug)

The indoor nationals were the culmination of my first yeat of shooting ARA and unquestionably its been the most fun of my 57 years.

In closing, I would thank all of you for the priviledge of allowing me into this great game.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS
Fred Leeds

P.S. If you want to meet great fun loving people start shooting ARA

I thought about coming down for my first ever BIG event. Now you tell me I made a big mistake in not doing so.

When is the next one at the barn? Maybe more importantly when is it same time next year? I won't make this mistake again.

Sounds like you all had a blast. bob finger

Fred , A Couple of Things You Missed

I'm pretty sure Doug Weeter adjusted my tuner at night (didn't seem to bother Jessica). Giving Craig Young a microphone is like karaoke night at a bar on Friday night. Fred, If you have 3K, I will send you a couple of cases of my "secret ammo". Seeing Gary Shelton at the match was nothing short of a miracle. Not seeing Jerry Graves , Tom Rippee, Harry Deneen and Kent Owens was a bummer but if they had showed up I would have finished 4 places lower. The shooter who was formerly known as "Prince" was apparently anointed " Duke of Earl" by Bill C.

James Pappas,
I wish I could have made the match so I could have had a chance to visit with you a while, and also had the chance to meet some more nice folks from other places. However, I had a contractor doing some work on my house and needed to be here. I guess it's just as well because I heard the day was very long on Saturday and my old bad hip goes to acting up a lot if I stay on it all day long. Not much of an excuse, but it's better than nothin'. Lord willing, maybe I'll make the one next year. Have a Merry Christmas with your family.

James I started my new job same place just different job anyways I didnt get out of there until 10pm friday night I went home and thought about driving allnight to make it but they was calling for 3 to 6'' of snow in the W.V. mountains so I stayed home all weekend not much of a excuse but I will be there in Febuary I promise you that.Jerry
