This has been a long time coming.
We have gotten approval from “the Board” to commence with our indoor 50 ft informal (unregistered) air rifle Bench Rest shoots. We shoot indoors at 809 East Crosstown Parkway, Kalamazoo MI 49001, not at the regular club, some 20 minutes East of the Club. We start at 9:30am, and we open doors at 8:00am Sunday morning please arrive by 9 to get a bench. We will continue on the 2nd Sunday of each month, Feb 14, March 14, and April 11, so long as the Governess and the Board permits this. In order to do this safely, while indoors we have to keep masks up, refrain from shaking hands, social distance of 6 feet, you know the drill, the new normal. Members are $5 and $3 for the additional match, Guests are $8 and $3 for the additional match. Again, This is non registered, we require safety glasses, and also it is your choice on hearing protection, but its best if you use it. We will do benches by first come, first serve. Once the first relay fills up, we can begin shooting, they will shoot all three targets, and then give up their position for the second relay if we have that many shooters. If not, they don’t have to give up their spot. Our targets are the 50 ft NRA A-36 target. It has ten scoring bulls, and 2 sight in bulls in the center. Each target is 100 points and possible 10 X’s, the total of the 3 targets could be 300-30X. We can shoot 2 sets if you wish. Sunday is Valentines day so shoot and get home, so you can take your Valentine out to one of the fine eating establishments that is supposed to be operating at 25% capacity. Even if you can’t make it, please forward this info to your friend that may have been accidentally left off this list so they can make it.
