If anyone is needing a moving backer system.....

I'll have one available after this weekend. If you will go to viperactions.com and look at the one Jerry Stiller made this one is like that. I paid over $500 for the motor alone from Grainger's. It is set up to move a 11x17 backer about 8-9 inches back and forth.
It is complete with sprockets, chain and some extra chain. Price is negotiable.

I may have 10-12 concrete bench tops available if you need them. I'll give you the tops if you pay the shipping. :) Each top weighs 350-400 pounds.

Mickey,
Sorry to hear that you won't be holding any more matches at Rachel's Glen. I enjoyed the match a few years ago when we flew out there for it. Would have liked to have made it back there, but is about the same distance as driving to the SS for us and is cost prohibitive to fly there very often.

Mike, I've been holding matches for about 22 years and have just grown tired of it. I'll turn 74 this week and am ready to do different things. I can't shoot because of my eyesight so I don't travel anymore. There just comes a time when it's time to quit. I'll miss you guys.

I realize this is a lot of money but I have nearly $700 in it by the time you figure everything. I went the route Jerry Stiller did with his and it works like a charm. If it doesn't sell I'll just keep it.

Mickey, I don't blame you at all. It takes a lot of work to put on matches and most people don't last nearly as long as you have doing it. Hate to see Rachel's Glen close, but you have to do what you need to do. Good luck with your plans and stay healthy enough to do it.

I needed a backer system just last month - AND 10 bench tops. Bought 'em off ebay though....
