Ideas???

Hi sirs.
Im inthe process of blueprinting a M70 action and have a 1in8" twist Shilen select match barrel to put on it.
Planned on making it a 22-250 but the wildcat bug might have bitten me........
Bolt has a ,308 size boltface and will be shooting 70 grain bullets.
So, any ideas on another cartridge?

I would prefer not slower but more importantly more accurate.
Could I use 70 grainers in ,22BR ?

I have a good friend that shoots 80 grainers in 600 yd. competition. He does very well with it. One of the top shooters at the IBS Nationals.
I don't know what your going to use it for but I tell my customers that every choice you make is a compromise. What's most important to you? Decide that then work backwards.

Important?
Accuracy.
Wind buffing.

In that order.

Trajectory, not important.
Will be used on varmints probably never over 500 yards.

How about the 220 Dasher with 70grainers at around 3000fps.
Any one have experience with it?
