IBS Wi. State Two Gun championship

Al Nyhus

"It'll never work!"
This weekend (Aug. 9-10) is the IBS Wi. State Score Championship held at the beautiful Holmen Rod and Gun Club just a bit north of picturesque LaCrosse, Wi.

We'll be shooting the 6 Power rigs (Hunter and Varmint Hunter) at 100 and 200 on Saturday. Sunday morning will find the Varmint guns on the benches with 100 in the morning and the 200 to follow. We shoot a true Two Gun format so we'll also have a Two Gun State Champion.

Come on over, drive safe and have fun! :) -Al

Al or anyone else,
Are there any BR matches held within a hour or two drive from Milwaukee? I'd like to dip my toe in the pool, but not if I have to drive halfway across the country.

A couple of notes: the conditions were sneaky 'light'...the tricky Holmen vertical caught many at 100 in both Saturdays Hunter and Sundays VfS match. At 200 on both days we had some rolling mirage that was worth close to 2" if you weren't careful. 'Sweet Baby James' Lederer continues to be a terror with his Hunter rig...way to go, James! :) And the always crafty experimenter R.G. 'that will never work' Robinett fired a 25BR with his 87 gr. bullets in the Varmint portion of the event for a solid 2nd. place in the Two Gun.

Thanks Al.

As usual, tough crowd.

Congrats to all.
