The Blue Grass Sportsmen's League in Wilmore, KY will host a 100-200 yard IBS score match this Sunday the 28th. Start time is 9:00 with the 100 yard match. After lunch we will have the 200 yard match. The weather forecast looks great, so I hope to see you there.

The weather forecast was pretty much spot on - a beautiful fall day, with a breathtaking sunrise over the green fields and rock fences of Bluegrass horse country. If y'all haven't been to BGSL, you need to. It is worth it just for the drive in and out.

We have come to expect that the wind at this range will be trickier than the forecast, and today was no exception. Which makes Joe Jarrel's 250-25X at 100 yards even more impressive. The first ever at BGSL. Awesome shooting, Joe!

Throughout the first three matches at 200, mirage had the targets swimming so much that some couldn't see their bullet holes. Then the clouds came, the wind died almost completely, and we were scratching our heads to explain why we didn't get five X's on each of the last two targets. It's stuff like this that makes benchrest shooting so interesting. I survived the first three targets without dropping a point, the only one lucky enough to do so, and won 200 with a 250-10X, and the grand with a 500-31X. Thanks to the crew at BGSL and to all the competitors. It has been another fun season. There is another shoot or two scheduled, but if I don't see you, have a safe winter, and see you next spring.

Great shooting Joe I wish I could have been there and Keith good shooting on the Grand. It was a carry over from the shoot at LRRC yesterday. See you guys next year after I get my Head out of my _ss. Charlie
