Broken down Plumber
I hope to attend the IBS Nats in St Louis .....it will be the first IBS 600yd event that I have attended....and I have a few questions.....1-How many targets will be fired per day ((I think it is a two day event with Sun for a rain day..???))and total for each gun LG and HG....2-how many record shots per target...do LG and HG shoot 5 shot groups..???...
I need to know how much ammo to bring.....I am amazed that there is very little chatter about this major event.....Thank You for any info provided....Roger
Here is page 39 paragraph 11 out of the IBS rule book.....
11)
The IBS 600 yard National Championship will be fired using an aggregate format of 8 targets per class. (Light Gun and Heavy Gun).

Im loading now!!!grin

Thank you one and all....I did not realize how many targets IBS fires at a 600yd Nats....grooovy.....lots of shootin---the more the better---I hate to drive to a match and only shoot a cupla targets...this one sounds like a rip roaring good time.......Roger

Hello Jerry, they have a steel gong that is repainted each time to white so you can see yor impacts on it. The range has pits, but they quit using them and went to the gong a year or so ago to speed up the process and so the shooters didn't have to do pit duty.

Thanks Gary

How many targets do we shoot at each sitting....two? then next relay shoots or 4,,shurely not all eight at once ???....and is there a gong at each target ??? ....sounds like fun...Roger

There is a gong at each target, not sure on the number of targets per relay. I suspect 2, that is how it is done in a regular match, and the target frames hold 2 targets.

Thanks Gary....evry range has its protocol and nice to know what to expect......and since we dont pull targets there will be time to clean bbl or even load ammo between relays......good info.....Roger
