I've attached a copy of the Program for the 2008 IBS 600 yard Nationals that I have drafted. If there is any information missing or you consider a mistake please let me know.

Currently there are no plans to have food available at the range so please plan on packing a lunch. If anyone wants to undertake arranging for someone to sell food during the match, please feel free to undertake the task - just let me know.

Hi Larry,

Will there be a rotation of benches and relay's each day we shoot? Are we required to weigh our Light Guns each day?

We will probably re-assign benches each day. More often may cause mass confusion while everyone tries to move their stuff around.

Rifles can be weighed each day if required, I'm not that familiar with the particulars on how often they need to be weighed.

Rotation of relay's and benches will keep the playing field fair and give people a chance to shoot at different points on the firing line. There should'nt be too much confusion. One way to do it is on day one, they get their relay and bench assignment for targets 1 & 2. When they come back to shoot targets 3 & 4, They move 7 benches to the right. If they were on relay 1 for the 1st day, the 2nd day they start on relay 4 and so on. That way everyone has a chance to shoot the first morning condition thru the week. bench assignments would need to be drawn each day. They ran the bench and relay rotation at South Dakota and it ran smooth. Inconvience? yes, Fair? yes.

I've had some concerns expressed about the limit of 80 shooters. 80 shooters is what we are planning for as a matter of practicality. If we receive more than 80 registrations, we will take every effort to accomodate those shooters. We don't want to turn away shooters. I also don't want to plan for hundreds of people and only have 30 show up.

It is getting kind of late for this, but I'd like to have T-shirts made up for the occassion. I'm not an artist (and that is an understatement). If someone would like to take a crack at a design, I would happily provide a free shirt and undying recognition for your efforts. I plan on ordering the plaques for the Nationals tomorrow and I will ask about how much time they need to make up T-shirts as well.

If anyone is interested, I've received 8 or 9 registrations so far. I'll try to keep you informed as the match approaches to how many have registered.

Don't forget that the May IBS match at ORSA is this Saturday.
