Yes and they were no help, Brownell's neither. Guess they never broke so they don't need parts.

I think it would be a good idea to call Savage. You might get lucky and find your part or they can maybe tell you where you can get your part?
 
Go over to rimfire central. They have a Savage section, should be some info over there.
