Don't know if this is true or not, but it can be a problem. I did check Indiana and there is a bill on this in the legislature as follows and appears to be related to assault rifles (whatever is defined as assault rifles..who knows) and handguns but this is probably just a foot in the door before they move to something else like our rimfires. The Indiana proposed bill is at the end. I'm going to check tomorrow and see if it has died or is still active.

You might want to send this to all your hunting buddies family & friends.

Nobody can sell any ammunition after June 30, 2009

It has already started....

Ammunition Accountability Legislation

Remember how Obama said that he wasn't going to take your guns? Well, it seems that his allies in the anti-gun world have no problem with taking your ammo!

The bill 20 that is being pushed in 18 states (including Illinois and Indiana ) requires all ammunition to be encoded by the manufacture a data base of all ammunition sales. So they will know how much you buy and what calibers.

Nobody can sell any ammunition after June 30, 2009 unless the ammunition is coded.

Any privately held uncoded ammunition must be destroyed by July 1, 2011. (Including hand loaded ammo.)

They will also charge a .05 cent tax on every round so every box of ammo you buy will go up at least $2.50 or more!

If they can deprive you of ammo they do not need to take your gun!

This legislation is currently pending in 18 states: Alabama , Arizona , California , Connecticut , Hawaii , Illinois , Indiana , Kentucky , Maryland , Mississippi , Missouri , New Jersey , New York , Pennsylvania , Rhode Island , South Carolina , Tennessee , and Washington .

Send to your friends in these states AND fight to dissolve this BILL!!

All that actually started prior to Obama. I think it's been defeated in most states. The current attempt is to put something in ammo so that it will have a six month shelf life and therefore people will not be able to stockpile it.

That may be so Beau. I'm following up to see for sure if the bill is still active or still under consideration. The mentality of some people is ridiculous. A good example is Australia and the U.K. I don't care what country someone is from there has ALWAYS been, and will ALWAYS be, people around with loose screws in their brains. They don't need guns if they are hell bent on killing someone and could care less about gun laws anyway. There are many other ways to be used. One of the best examples I can think of with air for brains is leftist liberals, most of which are Democrats IMO from what I've seen, that somehow keep getting elected, and come from armpits they call cities and will treat people in Wyoming, for example, like they live in New York City. All these idiots are going to do is unarm the majority of peaceful citizens to protect themselves against the criminal element for one thing. Stupid , stupid, people are they. Reminds me of a cartoon I saw once where the killer outlaw was walking away telling another guy "The jury decided to let me go and hang my gun instead". In the background was his gun hanging in a noose off a tree.

This country can only be defeated from within. Do not take the election process lightly.

Concho Bill
I know what you mean Bill. I was watching the news during the primary elections where a street reporter was surveying people on the street live polling to see who they were going to vote for and why. There were 2 young girls he interviewed and I couldn't believe my ears. She said: "I'm going to vote for John Edwards....he's so CUTE!" We found out later on the news what Edwards was doing with another female while his wife was battling cancer didn't we. The bad thing about it is these idiots multiply.

Lets you know what a sorry state of affairs we are actually in doesn't it.

One of the key backers of this legislation is the company that has the technology/processes to do the micro marking on the stuff

OOOooohh, maybe we can find a way to send........

Terminator back through time, an' he'll........;) Aw,yeah, forgot, we ain't got that technology............yet. :D

I heard the same thing about convicted Alaska senator Ted Stevens.........on street exit poll of voter........."I would vote for Stevens even if he was a convicted murder, he brings home the bacon"............idiot.

Will this effect the Eley Match that I shoot?

Concho Bill
My best guess is no....not yet but you know what happens everytime. Get a foot in the door and pretty soon they own the house.
