I took my old Savage 112 over to McGowan Barrel Co. in Kalispel, Mt. today.
I am going to get it rebarreled to 6.5X47 Lapau.

Does anyone have any handloads for 6.5X47 Lapua?

By the way I live in Libby, Mt. If you dont know where that is, get a US
map and look at the NW corner of Mt. It is 90 miles to the nearest
Wally World.

I know, it is in the middle of no-where, but that is the way I like it.

New Guy X: I live in SW Montana and its 110 miles (one way!) for me to the nearest CostCo!
And like you thats the way I like it!
I harvested a dandy Whitetail Deer just north of you (20 miles south of Yaak) a couple years ago!
I also harvested a 4 1/2 year old Bear recently just north of Middle Thompson!
You live in some wonderful country up there!

By the way - I just got a call from my friend up your way who was considering buying a Remington Model 725 (this is the rare Remington 721 predeccessor that has the three position safety!) in caliber 244 Remington from Snappy's there in Kalispell!
He was miffed that the bore was pitted (he used a Wally Siebert Bore Inspection Tool to determine this) but I am not sure that the Remington 725 would not make an excellent custom Rifle!
Maybe look it over next time you get to Kalispell.
