Hunter Match at the Tomball Gun Club

The Tomball Gun Club will host the Hunter Texas State Championship & the Hunter Gulf Coast Regional Championship the weekend of August 29 & 30, 2009.

Cool fronts are starting to arrive, so it should be pleasant for us Texans. Anything below 100 degrees is cool. Come on out and shoot with us. The match was cancelled last year due to Hurricane IKE. Lets have a good turnout for this one. See you there.

I will be at the range all day Friday (28th) so the range will be open for practice.

How is a NBRSA HBR match run? 10.5lb rigs shoot Sat 100-200yds and 13.5lb rigs on Sun 200-100 yds. Its not marked on the scedule.

This is a NBRSA Hunter rifle match. The rifles are limited to 10lbs (with a minimum cartridge capacity of a 30-30) with 6 power scopes. The 30BR cartridge is below this capacity and is not allowed. Either the Texas State or Gulf Regional match will be on Saturday at 100yds in the morning and 200yds in the afternoon. On Sunday the other match will happen in the same manner.

Good Conditions for this weekend

The forcast is for Variable winds of 5 to 10 mph for Saturday and Sunday. This should make for some really good scores.
