I hope some of you may be able to inform me of a couple of things,I am after a scope to use in Hunter class/Traditional BR.The weight limit is 7lb 12oz and I would like to use a as light of a scope as possible to allow more room for a tuner and balancing the weight of the rifle.
I have noticed that Leupold do a EFR 3X9X33 which is only 11oz which would be great weight wise and the 1/4 clicks I could likely live with but how fine is the fine duplex,is it the same as the target/fine cross in the 6x18 EFR's.
I have looked at the Leupold website and in particular the custom shop and struggle understanding the options that are available for this scope, any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Regards Chris.

Chris, comparing it to a weaver or sightron target scopes the efr's are slightly thicker maybe .005 or so, the fine only covers about 10%of the reticle.if you are familiar with our ir50 target the fine extends from approximately the 8 to 8 ring at 50 yards then to the outer edges it is a normal crosshair. hope this helps

Martyh thanks for that,I have been using a Weaver with the 1/8th dot and the dot sits in the 10 ring at 50mtr's nicely,if the Leupold 3x9 covered around the same amount of the target at the cross hair intersection as the Weaver dot that would be fine................but I am not sure how much target the intersection covers?.

Chris, I have the weaver 1/8th and this fine crosshair on the efr's are 1/10 that width if I had to guess I'd say the fine crosshair on a weaver is .020 and a cross hair on a efr is .025 approximately .
