I had the opportunity to buy a Kimber 82 Government, its not the annie I was looking for but the price was more reasonable. Ive heard a lot of good things about them as an all around shooter and Ive read a few articles making them good intro guns to benchrest. Any opinions and if so anything I can do to make the gun more accurate.

I had one sold it. There aren't many parts out there for it (none). The reason the Army didn't use them is they weren't as accurate as they wanted. I recommend saving your money and buy an Anshutz or something in that neighborhood.

I have one of the kimber 82s , it is not benchrest gun . Mine will shoot consitant 1/2 inch groups in good conditions . Smallest group to date is .167 with a hoen front rest and a sand bag at the rear .
