how long and large of a barrel for a bat model M action

trying to come up with a barrel length and contour for a mat model M multi flat with integral pic rail. Any recommendations for what this action can take without a block optimally? thinking about a light block also.

Are you as,ing about a cantilever setup where the a action is fastened to the top plate of a rail? I've cantilevered a 28" 1.450" barrel with a Stolle Panda. Seemed to do fine.

If you send bat a email asking them the same question you can get that information directly from them.

I have seen some 1.35 and bigger barrels hanging out there 30" or more but that doesn't mean it was right.
