I can't help it. I know it's a dumb question but I don't know of a better way of getting the answer. (I shoot on my own property and don't get an opportunity to see other shooters.) So here's the question:
If you use a round patch for cleaning that you pierce on your jag, I assume that once you run your rod through the barrel, it cannot be drawn back or the patch would come off. You don't pull the rod back out without a patch on, do you? Do you wrap a new patch on to draw the rod back?
(I have only used square patches on a parker hale style jag.)
