A good opportunity went by today. The Tomball gun Club held the first club match of 2008 today. There were 15 Benchrest shooters and three factory rifle shooters there today. But, there were no modified rifle shooters and Jackie Schmidt took three ribbons back home with him as there was no one to award them to.
The next match will be held June 1. For those of you who would like to try your varmint rifles in a bench rest match this is a good match to shoot. Competitive but friendly and easy going. Heck, they even let me shoot. I think I may try my 6.5 x 47L next time. Today I could have won first place by scoring one point!
