A buddy handed me 5 boxes of Hornady 70 grain .227 dia. bullets last night, I have no use for them.

I understand these are hard to come by these days.

Anyone shoot these?

The only thing I can think of that uses them is an old Hornet or a 22 Jet mag.

The .227 - .228 bullets are for the old 22 High Power round brought out around 1900. The early Hornets swung the other way with .223 bullets since they used rechambered rimfire barrels.
Thanks for offering them. Hope they find a good home.

Thanks Karl

I knew there was another round out their that used, thought is was on old round from that period, but could not remember to save my life.

I am sure someone out there would like to have them, I have not looked at the Hornady site to see if theya re still offered.

And I appreciate the correction on the Horent, I was thinking the opposite.

Just Checked the Hornady site,

They still offer the .227 dia bullets, was surprised as I had not heard of these in years.
