Arrived home today and I sincerely hope all of the rest of the shooters and their families got home safely.
I have been running over those 3 days, it's like a song that gets stuck. The event, and yes, there is no better word than event, was magnificent. The coordination and execution was flawless. A couple of small tweaks and all will be near perfect.
I cannot forget the range safety officers calling the line, clear, timely and strict but fair, you didn't want to get caught without your safety glasses or pointing a muzzle in unsafe position. A special pat on the back to Joe Brancato for running up the line after EVERY card and filling your gun with air and a smile.
For all of you that have a different opinion, that is your right. If your difference of opinion can be constructive, that's even better. If you simply want to whine and B****, like the small minded and classless usually do, then forget my email and phone number.
On the Orion scoring software, makes little difference what kind of pellet makes the hole, the software doesn't care or know the difference. It finds the hole, lines up the ring and measures the distance to the bullseye. It would take 10 people to score all of those targets, all ten would score them in their own unique way, not to mention the speed. Orion has a website and will answer questions regarding specifications and tolerances that should be expected. No one says it is perfect but look at the protest count for ARA and PSL matches.
Again, if you have another opinion, see the above paragraph.
Last but not least, meeting the shooters and their families was an experience not to be missed. I will always be humbled and thankful for the opportunity.
Now, reality has set in as I come back to this forum. Oh, well.
