Thanks for all the help moving the target stands to the 25 yard line after the rimfire Match. And breaking down the range after the match.
Norm was having gun problems but was the only person that the Mosquitoes didn't bother! We all learned how the S10 comes apart after the match from Doug's class on the S-10.
I want to thank Doug for all the information he gave me on my new USFT. I hope to have it working at the indoor match in June.

Paul

Good shooting guys, and glad to hear that everyone had a good time, mosquitoes and all. Looks like Doug and Paul had quite the battle going on between the two of you. One question though; was everyone shooting their .22's, or did Doug and Norm bring in the .177's? Sorry I had to miss it ....again, but I'm hoping to make the next one.

Dave

Dave,
Norm, Doug, Mitch and I were all shooting .22's. Al Sinnett was the only one shooting .177 and his match grade wadcutters left a bigger hole than the .22 plug.
See you at PM on the 30 th. I hope to bring the USFT I got from Joe F.
I will be early to help set up.
Doug has been shooting over his wind flags and it shows.

Paul

Breaking in the .22 BSA S10

Dave,

I was shooting my S10 in .22. I was having issues (when am I not lol) during the match. Doug stayed and helped isolate it from what I thought it might be to what hopefully it is (clipping on the bull barrel). He had a spacer that fit the gun that seems to have greatly reduced the shotgun pattern I was experiencing.
I have been trying to shoot the s10 a little more and was hoping it would do better in the wind. I had one shot on the first target hit the right side of the box I had previously shot!! Now I know I'm no Paul "250" Bendix Oakley but I can usually at least stay out of the black lol.
We all hope you are feeling better soon and can come shoot and then capture and take back all these Pinnacle Mtn. skeeters you seem to have left here in Holbrook.

Sorry I couldnt make this one - Work schedule and familiy visiting made me miss the last two. Plan on attending the next one though.

Hi Dave,
Sorry you didn't feel up to it. We had a good time in spite of the WX...

Wednesday a week before the match I received the new stock in "Desert" laminate and the week before the match was a rush to get the reciever/airtube fitted and then finish sanding and a couple coats of polyurethane on it to seal it up which I'm glad I made the effort thanks to the rain Sunday... And the S400SL in the new stock made it to the match looking great and shot fairly well for a newly assembled gun on its first time out.

I managed to learn a couple things, one is I need a lot more experience reading the wind flags, another is how tight to set the front gun guide on the rest, I think I've been setting it too loose... Ah, well, next time...

I also had a great conversation with Doug about the bedding and pressure pads in the Air Arms guns and came home and tore the gun down and made changes which look like they will help...

Doug, thank you for the suggestion about the pressure pads, I have removed them and am testing again...

Paul, it was a great time, your effort is truly appreciated, I don't know where you get the energy to shoot in Salem, NY. Saturday and then set up two matches on Sunday and provide lunch in the process...

Al, great to see you coming back, it was good to see you again and Norm, good to see you and shoot with you again too...

Happy shooting, Y'all...
Mitch & Shadow...
