In doing a search, I can't hardly find a single reference to this powder in 2009! Doesn't anybody use it? It's one of the few powders available right now. Just wondering if it is worth trying it out or has it been found to be a dog?

It "sounds" like it is but nobody will admit to using it!

Slugger ...

If you try it, then you can admit to using it, and can also provide a report on your findings. Experimenting is part of the fun and challenge. Give it a try! ;)

H100v

From what I have been seeing the H 100V is a few fps
faster and a little larger groups than a similar H4350 load
in my 6.5-284. Not enough difference
for me to change. I haven't tried it in my 6XC yet.

I have been using it since October, in a Mod. 70, .270 win. with 130 gr. and 150 gr. bullets but I haven't had much of a chance to shoot since I started trying it. It seems to burn clean and also seems to be as accurate as any powder that I have fired in that rifle. It may even have a little edge on accuracy. So far, I have only fired about 40 rounds of 130 gr. and 20 rounds of 150 gr., none on a calm day. With 53 gr. of H100v, Fed. match primers, Winchester and necked down Lapua 30-06 brass; 130 gr. Bergers, tipped triple shocks and Nosler solid base bullets have been chronographing from just over 3000 to about 3100 fps., with no excessive pressure signs.
I don't know if this info is of any value in regard to benchrest calibers or rifles but I too would like to know of anyone's experiences with this powder. I plan to do some more testing with it, hopefully in the near future, I was impressed enough with it to buy and 8 #er. Although part of my reason for buying it was the Obama factor.
