I was just playing with ideas for a more stable buttt stock to bag interface, and happened to take a look at this. It seems to have excellent lateral stability, and slides real well. I know, I know....yes...Goofy looking

so now i do not need to shape the lower edge of my ar buttstock..i just need to go to the stationary store....

Office Max has a cheap student model that should work as well as a more expensive model, for this.

How will you attach it to your stock?

For the test, I will buy a cheap one, and cut it to the length that fits my stock, and then try taping it at each end, with some of that blue masking tape. It may take a couple of tries. If I like the way it tracks I will have to figure out something that looks more elegant.... perhaps a wood adapter. I'll worry about that after I establish that it works better than what I have. perhaps I can teach it to read wind flags ;-)
