Anybody have any good suggestions for a Heavy Gun stock for a rem 700 LA....Thanks

My Choice

Would be a Gary Alvey aluminum stock or a Bill Shehane Maxi-Tracker.I don't think you can go to wide on the forend.Gary's forend is 6 inches and Bill's is 8 inches wide.
I clicked on the Mark King link but can't find the stock pictures?
If you get a big wood stock you have to remember all the little things that need to be added to it will increase its original price.Buttpad.inletting,barrel block, sanding and whatever type of finish you choose.
That doesn't make wood a bad choice it just means the original low price will go up.

Here is some photos of my heavy gun stock. I've built the first back in 2004 (that I'm aware of) "Corian" rifle stock. The same material newer kitchen countertops are made of. Unique looking, very stable material and tracks wonderfully. I've shot it at Willimasport and it performed exceptionally well. I can make them in a wide variety of solid colors or with multiple colors. e-mail me through www.mcrifles.com or call (570) 275 - 1698 for prices.

Never thought of using "corian" or similar materials for a stock, quite a good idea, think you can even get liquid "repair" material which you could use for bedding and make a quite easy job out of it.

Corian

Hey I've seen this rifle and its a beauty. Shoots well and Kevin is a frist rate craftsman.
