The EEC does have a requirement that all firearms are proof tested in an approved proof house, so the overload test claim would undoubtedly be correct.

If my memory is correct, HK use a similar lockup system on one of their families of self loaders. However, I suspect that there is room for a degree of variation in bolt closure lockup that could result in variations in headspace of fired cases & interesting reloading opportunities, but then again, many continental hunters don't reload.
