If my old memory serves me today it is not a joke at all. I think it is a 300 Whisper. Or was that on a .221 case? Anyway it was purposely designed that way to have a big heavy bullet stay subsonic. Thus no sonic crack. With a suppressor it is purly an assains round. Or in that particular case to harvest an overpopulated deer herd in a populated area. I have read that it is deadly. Also the gubment is very much interested in it.

Actually, there was a gunshop in Australia back in the sixties & seventies built a whole range of wildcat hunting calibres on the .222 case using the cute Sako L461 action. All our native game is thin skinned & you don't need a lot of grunt to drop them in open bushland (forest) where your shots are usually under 250 yards.
