Help with scoring

If a person shot a 242-4X, what does the 4X refer to? I'm just beginning to understand the scoring of the rings (both best edge and worst edge scoring) but I'm not sure what the X refers to. Any help will be appreciated.

This morning, using best edge scoring, I shot a 236, 232, and a 228 with my Anschutz 64 MPR.

Thanks

Ken

X count is the tie break when two scores are the same. It is a center 10 shot and it depends on who's target you use as to how it's measured. Are you using a 50/50 target or an RBA target (or something else)

Thanks for the reply, Don. I was using an RBA target. Perhaps someone can give me an example target to refer to with some explanation.

Lets see if Mr Frosty's picture will come up

Don: Reading the description next to each target has helped. Thank you.
