The size of that sight was it's main fault as it weighed close to a pound. It was first used by the American Palm Team. Their problem was that the sight would shoot loose from it's mount because of this weight. The last precision sifgt Redfield made was named the "Palma". This was a mistake because when you said Palma. everyone thought of the mark 10. It was a very well made sight and ended at $168.00. I alway's thought the Palma was a fine sight, and never had a problem with it shooting loose. It was a much lighter sight than the mark 10. In the original box you will probably get your money back, and then some. I could not find year of manufacture, but did find it was made on a limited basis on special order. Probably somewhere in the 70's. Was the sight in a plush draw-string bag also with the spec?
