Help needed on reccomended a scope brand

Hi everyone....
I'm brand new here and I need a little help from some more experienced shooters. I have recently started shooting at a local club at long range (from 600-1100 yards) using .308 rifles. I have just bought my first rifle, a Styer Police .308 and I need to get a scope for it. I know S&B and leupold are very good scopes but my budget doesn't go that far unfortunatly. My question is can you reccomend some scope brands that are cheaper but still cut it? The best option is for me to try them first but I dought I will manage to convince any shop of that! Many thanks guys... Dave
 
Maybe the nightforce benchrest series (not the NXS) they are good but cheaper.Or a Weaver T36.
Or do as I did and try to find a premium scope second hand.That makes a huge difference.
In scopes you have the great ones at a high cost or the cheap bad ones.Inbetween there's not much.
 
Nightforce has my vote, if you can afford it. Sightron is a good piece of glass for the money. :cool:
