Help identifying this benchrest stock

I was given a benchrest stock, but for the life of me can't figure out the action this has been manufactured for.

I believe it is a Richards Microfit Thumbhole Target Tigerwood. I have measured the two holes for mounting the action and they are 7 1/2 inches apart ( to the nearest 1/16th).

I will post some pictures ASAP after I figure out why this forum thinks my images are not valid files...
 
Confirmed this is a Ruger 77 rimfire stock... Let me start with this was given to me by a police officer friend killed in the line of duty - so I'm gonna build it no matter what. I was kind of hoping it was a centerfire stock, but it is what it is...

Any thoughts on 22mag vs. 17HMR?
 
Anybody have any experience using a rimfire ruger 77/22 stock for a ruger 77/22 hornet? I know the 22 hornet is not sub-moa, but the new .17 hornet has me curious. I think I can build it as a nice shooter, if the stock fits the hornet action...

Also, I am looking to subcontract out the entire project. I want it done right, and I'd love it to be the new .17 hornet from hornady!

Anybody have good resources for 17 Hornet?
