Min to +.001" are my tolerances. The reality is it really doesn't matter. You'd be hard pressed to see the difference on the target.
You adjust the die to fit the chamber. We're talking about the thickness of a piece of paper from min to almost the no go. The unfired brass is usually short by about .008" . Now if you use a piece of unfired brass as a gage you need to cut the neck and a small section going down the shoulder. The reason is the radius at the neck shoulder junction doesn't match the chamber. YMMVInteresting. With most guys full length sizing, the min makes sense.

gotcha. Kind like how 280 ammo fits in a 280 ackley chamber but the headspace is .040” different
