Harrison Scheduling Meeting

On Saturday December 6th we will be hosting a scheduling meeting for the 2009 Benchrest season at Harrison. The main purpose of this meeting is to avoid conflicts with other clubs during the 2009 season. We have had this meeting every year and it really helps avoid problems down the road.
We will meet at the range in the "Trap" building at 10;00AM. We look forward to your input.

I can bring a salamander heater to knock the chill out of the air until the stove gets going........................................... if ya don't mind the smell.

Are we gonna need snow shoes to get back to the trap house?

Saturday Meeting

I will pick up a mixture of donuts from the bakery on the way in and I will get there early enough to have a fire going and warm the place up. Talked to the snowplow guy yesterday and he will have it plowed out.

WWCCA Score Match for the MI Score Shooter Program

Tom, Mike, Larry and Francis,

The Benchrest Director Dana Raven and I discussed the openings on the calendar that the club has for participating in this program (which I think is a very good idea). And we have come to a decision that there is only one date in 2009 that WWCCA can hold a match in the format that fits what the group putting this on wants to have.

That date is Saturday September 19. We will hold a two-yardage score match starting with 100 yards at 9:00 AM, with the 200-yard stage shot in the afternoon. Dana and I will run that match.

With the range holding NBRSA registered group matches and with all of the other programs at the club that use our precision range (NRA high power, the rifle club and cowboy action shooting) that is the best and only date that we have available. Unfortunately, that is the main reason that WWCCA doesn't hold score matches during the Spring and Summer months.

If we get the kind of participation that is expected out of this program, hopefully we can get more dates in 2010 and thereafter.
