Are the Harrell vari-base dies still being made? I didn't see anything about them on his web site.

Are the Harrell vari-base dies still being made? I didn't see anything about them on his web site.
Joe, I believe Lynwood Harrel discontinued the VariBase die several years ago when he introduced his custom size dies for the 6ppc and 6br. I had one of the VariBase dies and found that it did a nice job sizing the web but did not properly size/contain the shoulder. I think that was the main problem with them; the shoulder area. By the way, his custom dies of today are top quality and are available in different sizes to accomodate most any chamber. Reasonably priced as well. I highly recommend them.

I have one, with several base inserts. It will size the base and neck (with a bushing), and bump the shoulder. I have never found that its not sizing the diameter of the shoulder to be a problem.

Thanks I was looking to make something similar that would size the case heads.
