Just a little humor from an ol Texas boy..... I want to wish everybody in Benchrest from shooters to vendors, families and friends a very Merry Christmas and Happy New years.

May all our troops and there families be safe, warm and get to come home soon. May God Bless everybody in the last of 2010 and in the upcoming 2011 year..We are all blessed in one way or another and to be able to share the Holidays with family and friends even on the email airways is something to be said !!

I'm afraid I do not follow these last 2 post's....What do you mean "What is happening to our country" and whats the "Puke" part...

Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low-stress, non-addictive, gender-neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasion and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all. I also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2011, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make America great. Not to imply that America is necessarily greater than any other country nor the only America in the Western Hemisphere . Also, this wish is made without regard to the race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith or sexual preference of the wishee.

Doug, you accidentally or purposely made the mistake of writing Happy Holidays instead of Merry Christmas.

The Politically Correct speak is Happy Holidays brought to us by a group trying to render the United States a secular nation.

They use the argument that there is a clause in the US Constitution that means religion has no place in our government.

They call it the "establishment clause". They claim this means a separation of church and state. The word separation does not appear in the US Constitution, nor does the term "church and state".

The section they refer to simply means, and clearly reads, the government shall not create and mandate a religion.

So, me, being a non-PC type wants to wish everyone a Merry Christmas!!

Thanks Jerry for clearing that up.... Very well explained and now I would like to wish everybody a MERRY CHRISTMAS to all and to all I'm going to have some more egg nogg..............
