talk about serendipity. I have to work this weekend. Got to the office and no one was there so i decided to take a ride down to the local gunshop and pick up some cleaning patches.

there was a fairly decent Mauser 98 in the rack so i took a look at it. BRNO action -- absolutley the tightest, smoothest Mauser I have handled. Bought it on the spot for $250. 85% stock. Matching #'s

Going to make a .404 Jefferey around it.
 
HA! I could have bought a rattie, rustie, non-matching number, 1944 K-98 for the same money. :eek: Sounds like you got a good one! :D
