Team USA cleaned up on the skeet range with Vince Hancock and Kim Rhode. But Team GB took the Double Trap with Pete Wilson.:D

Not a single brit or yank in any of the other shooting medal places thus far.

Mens 50m prone tomoz, Womens 3P rifle and trap on saturday, Mens 3p and trap on monday.

Come on you limey's.

I missed the men's final, but Kim was brilliant in the ladies. An Olympics isn't the usual forum to equal a world record, but she did it so elegantly.

elegant??????

I wouldn't go as far as say Rhodes high muzzle style was elgant...............but it sure seems to work for her.

I bet her sponsors Perazzi must be happy, so will Beretta be with Hancock.

What I did notice was there were no American manufactures guns in the hands of any of the finalist. It was all Beretta, Perazzi, Krieghoff.

Congratulations Kim Rhode. I met Kim in Sparta IL and she is a great Lady. We were there for the SCTP national shoot with my daughters and she was very supportive of the youth shooting events and even let the kids hold and touch her medals as well as give them pointers on how to shoot better. I would go as far as to say she was quite elegant in her win of the gold medal, her fifth Olympic and her fifth straight time winning a medal. I do not think she is done yet either.

I am positive that Kim was very gracious in her Olympic triumph. But I find her slightly crouched, high port muzzle style slightly inelegant to watch. But it sure works for her.

I don't think she's done yet either.

It definitely works for her. She has arguably been pretty much first or second best in the world for 16 years starting when she was 16. It occurrs to me that maybe hers is the style to adopt? There is a certain beauty in a shooting style that sets records; wins an Olympic Gold 3 out of 5 tries, and finishes no worse than second the other two. She has used that style to medal in 5 consecutive Olympics. Only US Athlete to do that as far as I know.

Fortunately for her there are no style points in Skeet, only score, and she definitely has the score part figured out.

I'm in no way suggesting she stands straighter and drops her muzzles in order to appear more elegant.

However to draw a comparision to professional boxing . Both Frazier and Tyson won world champion belts but weren't elegant. Where as Ali most certainly was.

You have a point.
