Rick and I shoot alongside the Rimfire BR shooters at Salem every Wed. evening and our 25 meter aggs are frequently higher than some of their 50 yard aggs. After a particularly good evening out with my EV-2 last week one of the RF guys told me we should shoot on the RF target at 50 yards this week...so we took them up on the challenge tonight. Rick and I shot our Open Class Dawsons on the RBA rimfire target which is the exact same size as the WRABF 50m target. Did we beat the powder burners? Not even close, but we had fun trying! Conditions would have been tricky at 25m tonight so we both struggled to get a handle on them at 50y, especially the vertical movement of the pellet. I think we might have even cussed once or twice per targetOur scores were:
Todd- 232-4X, 232-4X, 231-8X= 695-16X
Rick- 220-1X, 227-5X, 230-4X= 677-10X
Jock Elliott, who writes the Airguns of Arizona blog, joined us this evening for one target (had to leave early) with his production class .177 Marauder and shot a great score for his first time out with it, in tricky conditions to boot! 226-2x at 25m.
