Gun Curing Oven

Baked on Gun Finishes

Like KG Gun Kote, Dura Heat, Cera Kote etc. 300-325 degrees for 1 hour.
 
I just had to ask, what disease does your gun have which this cures?
 
I was faced with the same quandry when faced with curing Cerakote. I did the first few in a large kitchen oven but seemed to be constantly scraping the uncured Cerakote. They say let it dry for an hour then bake but I found that if I let it dry for 24 hours it is much easier to handle and I bought a stainless smoker from Cabela's that allows me to hang a barreled action for baking. The temp is easily maintained at about 250 degrees for two hours. It uses propane for heat.
