Grooves vs. Wind?

No. The number of grooves engraved on a bullet doesn't influence wind drift. Only drag influenced time lag matters.

Go to Kreiger's website and read their ideas on the 5R rifling. Basically they are saying that it is no better, but they will produce it to satisfy their customers. Matches have been won with 3,4,5,6,and 8 groove barrels. All types of land shapes have been tried.
Forget about all of that and spend time learning to read conditions.

Looks like we've got a Marine Corps trained shooter here :)

Bullets "rolling on the wind".....

In fact Culpepper is right, more than that, THE WIND NEVER TOUCHES THE SIDE OF THE BULLET!! It CAN'T touch the sIde of the bullet. Bullets don't "roll on the wind."

Never have.
