the background of this story would be of little interest to most, but the outcome might be.
yesterday i called tim north at broughton barrels about a problem. after i related my story and answered a few questions, he simply asked me if i wanted the new barrel sent to me or to roger brock?
in this day of "limited warranties" that require a supreme court justice to intrepret, i was truly impressed. five minites on the phone with a gentleman i'd never met and problem solved.
i have no direct expierence with any of the other fine barrel makers, but after this deal, i'll be wearing my broughton barrel camo cap to every match.
