In today’s world we don’t often mention the good things we receive, so I want to take a minute to do so.
Last Saturday, Julia and I were invited to a shooting class which Jim Borden offers to his customers. Jim, along with Bill Gebhardt, spent the entire day working with us on all aspects of Benchrest. Some of the items discussed were bench setup, body placement, flag type and placement. Jim also spent one-on-one time with each person helping them with load development and coaching. I came to the class with a brand new barrel so Jim knew he was going to have his hands full with me. His work and my listening landed me a 250-23X the next day at the IBS Score match.
Jim believes that the relationship doesn’t end at the sale of the goods. He is a firm believer of service and wanting his customers to excel. I would be willing to pay for the knowledge I received, yet, this class was a complimentary item of service from Borden Rifles
There are a number of good rifle builders out there, but I don’t know of anyone else in this sport that offers such a service to their customers. Jim didn’t make any money teaching the class, but, he did make friends and build relationships.

p.s. There will now be two Borden Built guns at our house… At the end of the day, I gave him a deposit for a new Rimrock rifle.
