the 14th and 15th of this month I will be shooting my fist ever F class match.
I will be shooting my .223 in the 3-5-600 yard match. the next day I will be shooting my .308 in the 3x-600 yard match.

I have chosen th 175 grain Berger VLD and the 50 grain Hornaday Vmax as my bullets of choice. I loaded these rounds my self ( another first) so I am very interested in how well they perform.

I don't expect to kleen the course on my first outing but I am surely going to try to do it ( its that positive attitude thing) The x ring should be very afraid of my willingness to learn from other shooters.

then its process all that brass, load it up again then look for another match thats scheduled on an off day.

Hi Ron,

You're in good company :)

Good luck your first match, with your attitude you won't be long out of the winning...........

If your .223 will handle bigger bullets try them next match. The wind is gonna' eat you up!

Have a great time

the wind is gonna eat up that 50 grain vmax for sure at the 600 yard line. Lucky for me I know this range well from my active duty days. I may move up to a 55 grain bullet but with my 12 twist barrel thats about max. Just gives me more reason to shoot it out then get me a 8 twist with the same contour.
