I'm not a RF gunsmith. I've never chambered a barrel for a RF cartridge. I've turned, threaded, chambered and installed dozens of centerfire barrels.
I want to rebarrel an old Marlin action I have to 17M2 therefore I've been researching various methods of headspacing and barrel attachment. I was even contemplating threading the action and the barrel and setting HS as you would a centerfire.
I found this article on Border Barrels and how they set the barrel
http://www.border-barrels.com/articles/22lrfit.htm
Seems WAY too easy. They simply glue them in, as they state in the article, the barrel/action pins do nothing. Simply there for looks.
So, how do you folks install slip fit barrels on various rimfire actions? If the glue "holds" as Border says it will, I can't think of an easier method.
