getting started

I would like to get into airgun BR. I'm looking at a used FWB 300S for about $500. What class would this rifle shoot in? Is this a good choice or for around that price or is there something better out there? I know nothing about airguns.

You could shoot two classes, springer and match. 300's are good guns but you can beat that price for a pretty good example (with good sites). The sites could be sold off for about 100$ and you could be into that gun for about 250$
