Gallatin Gun Club VFS Match

The Gallatin Gun Club (Gallatin TN) hosted it's 1st IBS sanctioned Varmint For Score Match Saturday. The weatherman had promised temps in the low 60's with light winds. He lied. It was uncomfortably cool (upper 40's), damp & gusty all day. The low scores reflect the conditions and the winners certainly earned it. Thanks to all who drove many miles to join us, and many thanks to all who helped out. Plan to come back the 1st Saturday of every month thru October.

Congrats

Great shooting guys (sounds like you had conditions much like Palmetto, except for the temperature).

Congrats to the Gallatin Gun Club on your first IBS score match. Sounds like it went very well, and you had a great turnout.

It was a good shoot and everyone had a really good time. There was some stiff competition and fairly rough conditions for the whole day. It was great to see everyone that came and thanks for helping to make the shoot what it was. I think this thing may just go over pretty good. Good shooting and congrats to Bob and all the winners! ----Mike Ezell

Hey Big "G"! We missed you Saturday. It was a good shoot and yes, I was happy with the the way the gun shot. I got off to rough start at 100 but just kept on keeping on and things went pretty well before the day was over. I'd sure like to have that first target at 100 back though. Cobbwebs I guess....That's my story and I'm stickin' to it! I was happy just to stay clean for the day in some pretty tough conditions. I'll see ya in a couple of weeks at Buckcreek.-----Mike Ezell

Glad you made it and had a good time. Thanks for helping with getting my flags set. It seems I can't walk a straight line even sober. It was good to meet and shoot with you. Hope you make the trip next month and bring a friend. Good shooting, too. If you had a 30 caliber I think you'd have been hard to beat. Just hard to give up that much difference. Hope to se ya soon.---Mike Ezell
