We shot the June Ultimate Benchrest Match at the Gallatin Gun Club yesterday. The weather forecast was for scattered strong storms throughout the day, but we shot the match in the best conditions we've had since about this time last year. We shot a 300/200 yard Agg, which means we shot 300 yards first hoping to get it done before the bad weather arrived. It turned out the be a good move as the first storm arrive (without thunder and lightning) just before the last match. It was heavy, but brief. The wind picked up during the 200, but the rain held off until after the match was long finished. Chester Bradford set a new 200/300 GA (495) in Custom Class and Jeff Breeden set the same new record in Factory Class with (479) and a win in both yardages and the Grand. This was Jeff's first time win anything and he was pretty stoked. We had 28 rifles competing in the four classes. Our next match at Gallatin will be on July 2nd. There will also be UBR matches this month at the River Bend Gun Club on June 11th,(Dawsonville GA) Hillside Shooting Sports on June 12th (Roanoke IN) & Brock's Gap Training Center (Hoover AL) on June 18th.
