This will be considered as my first post at Benchrest.com. I am a 37yr old Swedish benchrest shooter who is doing his second year in the best sport I have ever been fortunate to try out. I have a lot to learn and for me it is only one way to go - all in! My buddies in Sweden would not say anything else that I am 100% focused on "benchrest" and I am in for the long run...my goal for this year is to take a place in the Swedish national team for the WC in France next year! A lot to ask of a second year rookie, but I am doing pretty well so far at the competitions That said, you now know a little more about me - do not hesitate to ask if there is anything you would like to know
I would humbly ask your opinion of what gain twist (Bartlain) is applicable shooting both the 6PPC (68gr) and 22-100 (52gr).
Secondly I would like to have some honest good opinions and experience of your choice of two 22 cal bullets in 52gr to have at home to try out - if one does not work the other might. There are not much experience on this side of the pond shooting 22cal in benchrest.
A little background of our pain to understand our situation: In the nordic countries we need to order our barrels and bullets at least a year in advance as it takes a very loong time and you are never sure when your items would show up. A Krieger barrel when it arrives cost 400EUR, and then your gunsmith has not started to work on it yet! Usually we try to get 3-5000pc of bullets in one lot to make sure you have a good stash, as you can not pick up the telephone and have more delivered in a few weeks. That is why your input would be of great value for me, knowing or giving me good ideas of two bullets to go with.
Thank you kindly for reading so far. I look forward to be a part of this forum
Kind regards/ Sonny Olsson
