Thanks Nez. I know all you do for them, starting with building the uppers and replacing the barrels for them.
Nez needs an unlimited gun as a test platform for the barrels. He has re engineered a 722 receiver to accept the barrels to test them. He does not need the receiver or barrels. Any help would be a great donation to the team.

Our Rifle club supports and donates to our own local Grizzly Rifle Team. It helps them to get to Camp Perry every year. Maybe it is also something that your own local clubs could do to support their own local Rifle Teams.

Louisj, they do go to Perry as a team and does very well.

We do get a lot of support especially from Bayou Rifles in Houston. Every year they sponsor a mid range match where the match fees and concession and the table raffle tickets proceeds go to the team. The concession for breakfast and lunch are donations only. The support from the shooters is overwhelming, very common for them to drop 5 or 10 bucks for a cup of coffee and kolache. Back in the days before the eTargets, the kids pulled pits in these matches. Now, they still work in the pits, on the line and in the concession.

The raffled items on the table are donated items from people in the business, and from members of different clubs. Whiteoak Armaments gives a barrel, and Doug Giraud is always generous with his case trimmer.

Austin Rifle Club bought 10 Match triggers for the program.

We just raffled a donated M1 Garand, got around 4K for it. I plan to donate a couple of rifles for the next raffle.

Shilen donates blanks for the program and I do the work to finish them. Whiteoak Armamemts gives us good discount on barrel extensions and other part the kids need.

Last year we raised 6K from the fund raising match, but sending 18 kids, their parents or guadians, the management team to Perry cost some money. They stay at the huts, but expenses still add up.

We have training events where we provide the ammo. The last training event at Camp Swift, we used up about 12K rounds over a week of shooting.

Our goal is to have sufficient funds to make sure the deserving kids and their parents should not be burdened too much with the high cost of shooting in competition.

Thank you, Butch. We appreciate your help. I want to acknowledge Butch for his help in securing the sponsorship from Shilen. Those donated barrels are a big help to the program.

Don't remember which year it was Butch when the Grizzly Team won the Rattle Battle event. Quite a few of these young teens have been approached by the various military shooting teams. To sign up and shoot with their teams once they complete their studies and graduate out of high school.

Louisj, Nez is the man to ask about the juniors either Texas or otherwise. I'm sure a search will help you. Kalifornia has had some great junior teams.

The last couple of years, 2018 and 2019, the TX Juniors and Grizzlies won the rattle battle respectively. The Grizzlies still hold the National record for the Juniors rattle battle. Lots of credit to Jim O'Connell in developing top rate shooters in his program.

I don't think I have taken the time to thank Richard Brensing publicly for his support to our Juniors. To date we have received two large shipments of his bore solvent, no charge. The users love the solvent.

Richard, it may be late, but we really appreciate your support. Thank you!!!

Thank you Nez 2009 is the one I was thinking about. Todd Greenwood's son would come out and practice quite allot at our club. He was also a very active shooter while growing up in our junior program.

Is this the kid, Forrest Greenwood? This is the 2020 Interservice Match. This match is a slugfest between all branches including the Guards and Reserves.

The iron sight record set by a Marine with his M14 still stands. Some AMU kids broke it, but with scoped M16s.
